Raja Graduated from Ohio State University (OSU) with a major in Linguistics. She currently operates now as director of Partners – Jordan, where she is working on establishing Partners Jordan as a local Jordanian not for profit organization committed to advance civil society, promoting mediation, conflict management and culture of change, and encouraging citizen participation in Jordan’s social and political development.
Before acting as a director Raja joined Partner-Jordan as a Training Manager to oversee all related issues to training and work on building the capacity of a team of local trainer in the field of conflict management and change management, collaborative planning, mediation, consensus building, advocacy and good governance. Also Raja worked on building training material and trainers' guide manuals on mentioned topics.
Prior to this Raja worked as a trainer in the Queen Zein Al-Sharaf Institute for Development (ZENID), and delivered training courses on the national and the regional level on topics related to proposal writing, PRA, report writing, ToT, and communication and presentation skills. She also worked as a translator and an interpreter for non-Arabic Speaking counterparts and partners. Furthermore, she managed developmental project implemented on the local community level in several governorates of Jordan. In addition to that she contributed in the fundraising process by constructing numerous proposals.
Before working in ZENID, Raja acted as a national consultant in the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), supported the work on micro finance funded projects and composed a comprehensive report on the outcome of the World Social Summit for Development (WSSD).
